My only complaint is when we lose channels I love because they cant make a deal.
I’ve been with Direct TV for 4 years and never have had an issue. It’s really easy to reach a live person in customer service and I think their prices are pretty good to.
We live in the boonies so this is the only rear ice we can get. It is very expensive. My biggest problem with it has been the Hopper. Initially we weren’t getting local channels in HD. We were told to wait for an upgrade to the software. After several months, we finally broke down and bought ANOTHER dish for locals. Of course the upgrade was finally available a week later.
DirecTV is amazing! The value and their customers service is wonderful and the equipment that is provided works as prescribed. The reliability of the service is okay; occasionally during thunderstorms or snowstorms, particularly with ice, the service will be briefly interrupted. Other than that we have had ZERO problems with them!
Likes everyting, the prices have been creeping up the last few years but I like the options DirecTV gives for less money than the cable providers. With DirecTv, you have to take into account the fact that the service will go out in heavy rain and snow storms.
One week into our service with Direct TV we had a few hours of rain and our satellite service went out. It did not come back on so we contacted Direct TV. The rep told us that it would be 7 days before they could come out and fix the problem. The service rep was rude to my wife. We ended up cancelling our contract. During the week we had Direct TV we did not enjoy the menu options. It was difficult to navigate through the channels and find what you were looking for. Overall, we were displeased.
Have had nothing but GREATSERVICE from DirecTv!!! Love the Sports Packages(NFL Sunday Ticket, ESPN Gameplans, NHL Center Ice, etc.)!!! Fairly priced, not too costly to upgrade receivers & get extras. Love it!!! Glad that they joined forces with Viggle!!! More points for me. Love It!!!
Dish Network was just okay, as a matter of fact, their service was actually less than okay. Wanted to charge an arm & a leg to upgrade receivers, no sports packages, no loyalty to long standing customers. Of course that many(5)years ago.
I LOVEDIRECTV, but I wish that they would give my a Genie & a Nomad free, lol!!!
I’ve been with the dish for 12 years, great company, just never know how much your bill is, they change every month. Nobody in customer service can tell you why?
a service tec. named Daniel Fields came to my home on 8/22/2012.Daniel was the most professional
and nicest person I’v ever had from direct tv. He explained everything he did. He is a keeper and you should be proud to have him working for you.
All in all, not a bad company. The installation process was a bit of a hassle, we had a technician come out twice just to install the satellite due to one of our trees being in the line of sight. The price itself was a bit much, never really felt like I got all that I paid for. The channels I wanted where in the higher priced tier, so I wasn’t a big fan of having to accept a bunch of other channels I didn’t want. We did get nice little add on packages free for 3 months, but after that, I never heard of any deals again. It seems the company cares for you in your first three months, and then after that it leaves you on your own. Simply put, I’ve experienced better TV, but Dish certainly isn’t the worst.
