DIRECTV vs. DISH

I miss DIRECTV. Just switched to save money and miss the better sports coverage DIRECTV has.

I love DISH Network, especially around this time of year. The sports programming is unbeatable!

I highly recommend DISH for people who want solid programming at a reasonable price. The equipment is good and customer service has been awesome so far.

I’m never going back to cable TV.

I work in customer service but not for either sat co., I think one of the comment that staff is uneducated and bragging about what they make is uncalled for. Dish has been good for us since mid 90’s, however, lately they have penalized us for keeping our older equipment from 2003 by puting on a surge charge for not having a dual tuner. went from $6 to $22 extra within 6 months. They no longer give one months free for paying a year in advance. I was paying $715 annually for top 250 pkg with the $6 for local channels added each month. Looking into direct for new customer promo. Dish’s loyalty dept doesn’t want to work with me. I’m worried about either co adding extra fees at anytime. I’m still real mad about health channel being removed (I’m sure to save costs)to put OWN, which is stupid reruns of dr phil

Every time it starts raining even if it’s a drizzle the tv goes out. If you was under a tornado warning you wouldn’t be able hear anything about it. All you get to watch is info-mercials. Their hardly any good shows on. We did get the cheaper package so they tell us if we want to get better channels we have to up grade to more money. We received better channels through the box you get from Wal-mart. We can’t wait till our contract is over with.We really didn’t want dish or any other service we were trying to get internet and went to wize guys to bundle and they talked us into dish and then we never received the other services because they forgot to put in the paperwork. So we cancelled everything else but Dish wouldn’t let us cancel them. We wouldn’t recommend Dish to any one.

I had Dish Network for about 10 years and was overall happy BUT decided to change to get the free NFL Sunday pkg. My system was installed 48 hours ago and i have had 3 outages, system is currently out and has been for last 8+ hours. Keep getting a 771 code and have called 3 times today to try to get someone back out here to correct the problem. Now they say it will be 2 days before they can come out when 2 hours ago my wife was told someone would call and set a time for this afternoon.

I want DISH back!!!!!!

I have had Directv for 9 years now best service ever some of my family has had directv payed to much they came to my house and they called dish and cancelled after seeing what i pay and what i get i have 3 tvs all hd choice xtra 78 dollars my friend same thing 3 tvs hd americas top 120 only difference i get more channels and shes pays 85 a month Directv rules.

Directv is the best i had dish-network for 3 years worst service ever dont get them i payed 80 dollars a month for the americas top 120 for 1 tv! i cancelled i have directv 2 tvs choice package dvr service 69 a month. Directv!!!!

Directv best i have had Directv for 10 years i had just signed up like renewed up last year they called me today and said theyll give me a new dvr premium channels and 2 10 dollar discount not for a couple months but for life Directv rules dont be fooled by dish or cable Directv all the way. 6 rooms 89 dollars choice xtra.

I have had Directv for 3 years. Directv is the best i have a had. I had a cable for 5 rooms payed 103 a month got dish had 5 rooms one as a dvr and there top 200 payed 99 a month got Directv and pay 78 a month best service i have the choice xtra i have 5 rooms all HD and the whole home service dvr i reccomend Directv to everyone on here DONTGETDISH OR CABLE get directv make sure you talk and your bill will be soo low its not even funny.

I gave DISH Network a star rating of 1 only because a ZERO is not offered as a choice. Since day one, we have been extremely disappointed with everything about this service. The installation was a nightmare complete with the technician drilling a hole into our $2,000 couch. Everytime it gets cloudy we lose reception. We have about 25+ home shopping networks and 30+ jewelry channels. AS FOROUR BILL: this is the most sneaky, dishonest cable company we have ever dealt with. The “promotional” price of 24.99/mo for 12 months is complete BS! Our bill steadily increased over a year about every 3 months until I just recently canceled after being charged 82.99/mo!!! Upon canceling, you will get nailed with a huge fee, take apart, send back and pay shipping costs for all of THEIR equipment, and GET ON YOUROWNROOF to take uninstall your dish!!! What is THAT?!?!?!? Are they serious? Oh yes, very serious. DO NOTGETDISH NETWORK!!! YOUWILLVERYMUCHREGRET IT!!!
