Had service for two years before moving to a new house. At the new house, installer claimed he couldn’t install because there were two many trees. I asked him if DISH would be able too, he said no because it’s the same satellite. I called DISH over, they confirmed it was the same satellite but installed it anyways and it worked fine.

I’ve been with Direct TV for 4 years and never have had an issue. It’s really easy to reach a live person in customer service and I think their prices are pretty good to.

DirecTV is amazing! The value and their customers service is wonderful and the equipment that is provided works as prescribed. The reliability of the service is okay; occasionally during thunderstorms or snowstorms, particularly with ice, the service will be briefly interrupted. Other than that we have had ZERO problems with them!

Likes everyting, the prices have been creeping up the last few years but I like the options DirecTV gives for less money than the cable providers. With DirecTv, you have to take into account the fact that the service will go out in heavy rain and snow storms.

One week into our service with Direct TV we had a few hours of rain and our satellite service went out. It did not come back on so we contacted Direct TV. The rep told us that it would be 7 days before they could come out and fix the problem. The service rep was rude to my wife. We ended up cancelling our contract. During the week we had Direct TV we did not enjoy the menu options. It was difficult to navigate through the channels and find what you were looking for. Overall, we were displeased.

Have had nothing but GREATSERVICE from DirecTv!!! Love the Sports Packages(NFL Sunday Ticket, ESPN Gameplans, NHL Center Ice, etc.)!!! Fairly priced, not too costly to upgrade receivers & get extras. Love it!!! Glad that they joined forces with Viggle!!! More points for me. Love It!!!

Dish Network was just okay, as a matter of fact, their service was actually less than okay. Wanted to charge an arm & a leg to upgrade receivers, no sports packages, no loyalty to long standing customers. Of course that many(5)years ago.

I LOVEDIRECTV, but I wish that they would give my a Genie & a Nomad free, lol!!!

a service tec. named Daniel Fields came to my home on 8/22/2012.Daniel was the most professional
and nicest person I’v ever had from direct tv. He explained everything he did. He is a keeper and you should be proud to have him working for you.

After having moved from California where I had Cox Cable, I didn’t realize how good they were at service and dependability of signal. Moved to Mpls last fall and decided on DirecTV mainly due to the NFL package and that I heard Dish and Comcast had a reputation of poor service.

Was very pleased with the install process and training. Due miss some recording functionality that I had with Cox. The major reason I would rethink my decision is the constant loss of signal during thunderstorms. Ironically, it always happens when the weather bureau issues a warning and I’m anxious to get the details. Have to use my computer to find out what is going on.

We had direct tv for a couple of years. We had a few problems receiving our bill and getting late fees. Over the past few months, our bill has increased over $40- with NO changes made by us, and direct has even taken away channels from our package. Customer service has repeatedly said that it is just a price increase. We are switching to Dish. I am sure there are problems with any satellite company, but we will be getting more channels for less. (The Dish guy is actually here at this moment. Very thorough and even suggested some changes to the order we had placed, as we were not told over the phone that having the Hopper system would mean only 3 out of our 4 tvs could be tuned in at a time.)

I’ve had Directv for about 15 years now and found it to be adequate untill I recently signed a new 2 year contract to upgrade to HD. I’ve got to say the picture couldn’t be better, but the audio is totally out of sync with the video. Some channels are worse than others and so bad that I can’t even watch. It’s like looking at a forgien movie with another language dubbed in. I called Directv but got no satisfaction.
